TITLE2

New Team Institutes
New Team Institutes are offered each summer as part of the Science Olympiad Student Enrichment Program (SOSEP) which is entering its sixth year and is a collaboration between the North Carolina Science Olympiad (NCSO), the Burroughs Wellcome Fund, various universities and community colleges and numerous school systems across North Carolina. The goal is to ensure that all students have an equal opportunity to participate in the NCSO regardless of their ethnicity, household income or geographic location. This goal is realized through the offering of New Team Institutes, the development of school-level NCSO after school programs and participation in invitational, district, regional, state and national tournaments.

*Only schools who are in their first year of competition currently, schools that have not competed in the previous 3 years, or schools who have not participated at all in the Science Olympiad before qualify for New Team Institutes.
