Fiber and Polymer Kit:

NOTICE*** Fibers and Polymers have been removed from the 2010 rules for both Forensics AND Science Crimebusters. If you would still like a kit for teaching in the classroom, they are available.

NC is offering a complete kit containing all fibers and polymers that teams may be asked to identify. Each kit contains enough of each material to perform several tests. It is $20.00 and includes a sample of all 7 fibers and all 8 polymers that are traditionally used in the CrimeBusters or Forensics event (we do not include human, dog, or cat hair).  The kit comes with basic instructions as well.  Our online store is currently down for maintenance, if you would like to purchase a kit please send a check for $20 to:

Please put fiber/poly kit in the memo line, and also include the address you would like the kit shipped to. Make check payable to NC Science Olympiad. Kits are sent via USPS standard mail.
