Description: No earlier than 2 months before the competition, teams will select materials and create a biome inside a 2 or 3 liter bottle that they will then monitor as it grows, and record their observations. At the tournament teams will turn in their Biomes and Biome Summaries. They will then complete a station activity where they answer questions about different biomes and ecosystems.
Materials: Teams MUST bring their Biome, Biome Summary, and a writing instrument.
Event leaders will provide the official scoresheet, grading ruberics, the official test and response sheet, and any materials needed to complete the station questions.
Scoring: High score wins. 50% of the score is from the biome and biome summary, 50% of the score comes from the station test.
