October 5-6, 2018– The North Carolina Science Olympiad hosted approximately 500 coaches across the state at Southeast Raleigh High School. The clinic is a weekend long training camp for volunteer teachers and parents to learn and prepare to be an NCSO coach. Each year, coaches attend the clinic to receive hands-on instruction, professional development, and resources to successfully lead teams of students.
The clinic also provided an intensive boot camp for first and second year coaches. The boot camp provided coaches with an opportunity to ask all of the Science Olympiad questions they have and how best to grow their team.
Sessions were held on all of the big Science Olympiad events including: Bottle Rockets, Pasta Towers, Roller Coaster, Super Sleuths, and Crime Busters. A special thank you to all of the presenters who shared their expertise with coaches. We are truly grateful for your continued commitment to Science Olympiad.
