Good morning all,
I hope that you had a great day yesterday, a huge thank you to Kimberly Turk and her volunteers for a great tournament!
If you are the one who can log in to Avogadro, you can click on your team name and see a graph of how the team did versus everyone else and also the raw score in the event. Many of you have asked for the total number of points per test (because it is rarely 100) and I am still working with the developer on that.
If you see a problem in the scores, please email me by Tuesday morning at the latest so that I can look in to it. Scores become final at 5pm on Wednesday.

Good Evening Coaches!
Hope y’all are doing well and anticipating the start to competition season in just under 2 weeks!
This email has some important information pertaining to Avogadro and Google Forms so please bear with me.
1. If you have not self-scheduled and added team members to Avogadro, please do so today! Self-scheduling closes this Saturday 2/23/19 at 5 PM. After 2/23/19 – you will need to email me your self-schedule choices. Here is the website link.
3. If your team has not filled out the Vandalism & Behavior form, please remember to have your students and principal sign that and bring it with you to check in on 3/2/19.
Your students will not compete if these are not completed before the competition begins.
If you have any questions leading up to the tournament or run into any issues, feel free to send me an email.
Best of Luck on March 2nd!

Hope you are well!
I tried to email this through the NCSO system, but I’m not sure it went out. I apologize if there are duplicate mailings.
This is just a quick reminder that we have scheduled a Coaches Q&A session for the Durham Regional tournaments on February 5 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the Media Center at Riverside High School (Durham). During this session, we will have a representative from NCSO on hand to answer questions about specific events. You’ll also have a chance to see the facility (Riverside is the location for the B/C Division and Southern is set up on a similar blueprint, so the buildings are very similar) and to ask questions of the tournament directors. No sign up is required for this session. We did this last year and coaches found it VERY helpful, so I encourage you to attend.
For C Division coaches only: I am planning to run a trial event for Division C Duct Tape Challenge. I hope to have it up on the schedule along with tentative room assignments by the end of next week.
We still need volunteers and event leaders! Generally speaking, we hope that each team can supply at least one volunteer for events (more is better). Please share the links for our March 2 Durham Regional B/C Division tournament and/or the April 6 Durham Regional A Division tournament volunteer sign-ups. We VERY much appreciate your help in this.
Thanks so much for your support of our Durham Regional tournaments. Willow Alston-Socha (Director, Division A tournament) and I will be in touch soon with finalized schedules, homebase assignments, and much, much more!
Please let us know if you have any questions.

Competition season is approaching quickly and it is time for the emails to begin! Please bear with the length of this email and read all the way through as each part includes important information regarding forms and Avogadro.
At some point today, everyone will receive a google form with permission/photo consent information in it. Every student on the team must have this form on file to compete. If Google Forms are new to you, there is a tutorial video to help you. Here is the link.
If some of your parents don’t have internet access, you can use the attached Paper copy (Spanish version here), but please limit this unless absolutely necessary. We have to scan every one of these papers and keep them and with 18,000 students participating this year, it’s a bit overwhelming and cumbersome.
As in years past we will be using Avogadro for scoring and team member registration. If you have not tried to log in to Avogadro yet, please do so today! Here is the website.
Your login is your username (not your email address), which I will send you individually later today. I have attached the user manual to this email, and here is the video to help you get started on this.
Make sure to also watch this video: – it explains why we use self-scheduling.
You need to login and self-schedule in to the walk-in events – this opens at 7am on January 23rd and closes at 5pm on February 23rd. After Feb 23rd, you must email me to change your self-schedule selections. Your team members do not have to be filled out to do this part.
You will need to turn in the Vandalism & Behavior form signed by you, your principal, and your students. 1 per team. This form is attached and can also be found on the website.
If you have any questions feel free to email me back!
