Competition season is approaching quickly and it is time for the emails to begin! Please bear with the length of this email and read all the way through as each part includes important information regarding forms and Avogadro.
At some point today, everyone will receive a google form with permission/photo consent information in it. Every student on the team must have this form on file to compete. If Google Forms are new to you, there is a tutorial video to help you.
If some of your parents don’t have internet access, you can use the attached Paper copy (Spanish Version), but please limit this unless absolutely necessary. We have to scan every one of these papers and keep them and with 18,000 students participating this year, it’s a bit overwhelming and cumbersome.
As in years past we will be using Avogadro for scoring and team member registration. If you have not tried to log in to Avogadro yet, please do so today! :
Your login is your username (not your email address), which I will send you individually later today. I have attached the user manual, and here is the link for a video to help you get started on this: https://youtu.be/oZ1U6k1Xd4I
Make sure to also watch this video: https://youtu.be/e_GHyuUtxLo – it explains why we use self-scheduling.
You need to login and self-schedule in to the walk-in events – this opens at 7am on January 11th and closes at 5pm on February 8th. After Feb 8th, you must email me to change your self-schedule selections. Your team members do not have to be filled out to do this part.
You will need to turn in the Vandalism & Behavior form signed by you, your principal, and your students. 1 per team. This form is attached and can also be found on the website.
If you have any questions feel free to email me back!
