Codebusters B will run as a self-schedule trial event in the morning
Division B Teams:
This Division B tournament has a capacity of 40 teams.
Division C Teams:
This Division C tournament has a capacity of 40 teams, which includes the National Ready teams.
This year we will offer an opportunity for you to skip the lines Saturday morning and register your team on Friday February 1 from 3:30-5:00pm at Southeast Raleigh High School. Any representative from the team can submit the paperwork and pick up wristbands. We will begin registration on Saturday morning at 7am for all other teams who cannot make the early registration.
A tentative schedule has been posted. We will again have 60 minute event blocks and an hour and a half lunch period. An updated schedule with locations will be sent to you mid-January. At this time we plan to hold the Ping Pong Parachute events in the main gym (ceiling height approx. 30 ft) and the vehicle events will be either in the main gym or auxiliary gym. Allowing for a longer break at lunch provides time for students to eat and prepare for their afternoon events as well as complete the Sound of Music Exam (Division C). Having shorter blocks means that it will be especially important for students to arrive to their events on time and ready to compete. A final schedule will be sent to you no later than Friday January 24, 2020. **Once you receive the final schedule, please make sure that you provide copies of this schedule to your students and parents ahead of time as there will not be any paper copies provided the day of the tournament.**
Home Base Locations:
After receiving a lot of positive feedback about the food trucks last year, we have decided to bring them back again this year. We will have 4 different food trucks this year parked out in front of the school from 10:30 am-3:00 pm. Southeast Raleigh HS will also have snacks and concessions inside the building again from 7am-5pm.
As the tournament size has continued to grow, so has the need for volunteers! In order to ensure that all of the events flow smoothly and are adequately supported, we need many more volunteers. We ask that each team get 2-3 parents/teachers/adults to sign up as a volunteer for the tournament. Volunteers can register at this Volunteer Registration Link. The volunteers will be able to choose either a morning time slot/event, afternoon time slot/event or both morning and afternoon. Please remind your parents and volunteers NOT to sign up for the same division or event that they may have a child/student competing in. We want to make sure that there are no conflicts of interest issues for our parents/volunteers. Students age 16 and up may again volunteer this year. Again this year all volunteers will receive preferred parking, tournament volunteer t-shirt, access to a light breakfast and lunch.
